"Memory Weave 2050" is a pioneering XR design project set in Guangzhou's 2050s (the most populous built-up metropolitan area in the world ), addressing the unique challenge of connecting the city's vibrant young workforce with its significant population of empty-nest elderly, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG11) for social inclusion. This initiative uses advanced artificial intelligence and human-computer interface technologies with nostalgic music to create 'memoir music stories', reconstructing memories to foster social empathy and bridge generational gaps. It not only helps the elderly reminisce and share their experiences but also offers the younger generation a unique glimpse into the past.
